is located on forty acres of woodlands and wetlands surrounded by farms and crisscrossed by Scattering Fork Creek, Southeast of Mexico, Missouri. At one time, this area was a campground of the Fox Saux tribe and was later traversed by soldiers fighting on both sides of the Civil War.
By providing educational programs and innovative environmental experiences, we hope to foster a larger understanding of community, which includes and embraces the natural world. Our mission is to use nature for self-discovery and reconnection to what is essential in our busy world.
SFOC is a 501c3 organization and relies solely on volunteers and your generous donations.
